Resume
What this agent does
The Legal Notice Agent AI prepares the legal recovery documents that the Hard Bucket Agent AI's legal strategy decisions require — drafting member-state formal default / acceleration demand notices, building the national enforcement court application package, tracking notice response deadlines and hearing dates, and identifying documentation gaps that would weaken the legal case before notices are issued. Retained legal counsel reviews every notice; the authorised credit officer issues it.
Primary functions
Collateral Enforcement Notice Preparation
NPL accounts above threshold — on legal action decisionINVOKED WHEN: the Hard Bucket or NPL Strategy Agent AI determines member-state collateral enforcement is appropriate
- Reads the account file — credit approval and security creation documents, security interest registration details, current outstanding, DPD history — and drafts the formal default notice in statutory format: precise outstanding as of notice date, security interest details including land registry / charges registration number, the applicable statutory notice period, and consequences of non-compliance.
- Identifies documentation gaps before the notice is finalised: Is the security interest registration current? Is the security valuation within the 12-month validity period? Have all statutory preconditions been met? Gaps are listed with the specific document or action required to remedy them.
- Verifies that the notice is addressed to all required parties — primary borrower, co-borrowers, guarantors. A notice that does not reach all required parties is procedurally defective.
national enforcement court Filing Preparation
High-value NPL accounts — when national enforcement court route is selectedINVOKED WHEN: outstanding exceeds €200,000 and national enforcement court filing is appropriate
- Assembles the national enforcement court application package: the originating application / statement of claim in prescribed format, supporting documents schedule (loan agreement, security documents, statement of account, default notices, land registry / charges registration), and the cause of action statement.
- Prepares the statement of account in national enforcement court-required format — chronological record from disbursement to filing date, showing every debit and credit and the outstanding balance. The statement must be certified by the authorised officer; this agent produces the draft.
- Tracks the national enforcement court case through the litigation lifecycle and sends deadline alerts 14 days and 3 days before each hearing date and response deadline.
Notice Tracking
Continuous — through legal action lifecycleINVOKED WHEN: a legal notice has been served and the statutory response window is running
- Tracks statutory timelines for each active notice: the applicable member-state notice period, national enforcement court notice response period, and court-ordered timelines. Generates alerts 14 days and 3 days before each deadline.
- Logs all borrower responses — whether within the statutory period, what they proposed, and whether the response triggers a legal response obligation. A member-state collateral enforcement representation requires a specific response process; the agent flags and routes to legal counsel immediately.
- Produces a legal portfolio report for the NPL Strategy Officer AI: all active legal actions by stage, amounts in dispute, expected resolution timelines, and accumulated legal costs per case.
